AS " WE " CHANGE : A Poem BY AAKRITI MALIK

As "we" change..

With time, we grow,
With time, we change,
But there are some things in us,
Which just remain the same.

With time, we learn,
With time, we move,
Turmoil in our lives,
Waiting for us to recoup.

With time, we walk,
With time, we try and run,
Loads of things on our mind,
Matters weighing a tonne.

With time, we fight,
With time, we exhaust,
Running on life’s treadmill
We try, but never pause.

With time, we sleep,
With time, we dream,
Dreams which were made to fulfill,
But are still on our wish list.

With time, we love,
With time, we lose,
Plenty of options given,
Still there is nothing to choose.

With time, we change,
With time, life changes too,
For a person naughty and cheerful,
Might now be dull and blue.

With time, let’s befriend,
With time, let’s not compromise,
'Coz time too changes
And so does our life.
