Youth is the most vibrant time of one's life. Especially school and college days are always memorable. Young and free, and a whole world to conquer, you really feel "on the top of the world." It is a time when a person visualises about his/her future and forms a picture about life. It's a time of planning and persevering to achieve goal in life. You begin to nurture a dream for your life.
Everyone has a dream in life. Great men dream great things. Perhaps your abilities may not be great, but there is no limit for your dreams. You dream for the highest mountain, or dream for the stars, so that you can climb a hill, or achieve something in life.
Here is a person who dreamt big. Delivering his famous speech on August 28, 1963, Martin Luther King Jr. presented to all the discriminated people in USA his dream of a better world:

"I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood. ........ I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character. ...."
His dream is coming true today. Now, 36 years later, USA has a non-white President. Dreams have power. So be careful when you dream. Dream to achieve great goals in life, goals that would impact not only your life but your family, and even the society.
God also has a plan for you. In the Book of Jeremiah, God says: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). Before you dream, it is always better to know the plans God has for you. God's plan for you will be definitely much higher and greater than whatever you can achieve on your own.
Identify God's plan for your life from His Word and by waiting to hear from God in prayer. He will surely reveal His plans to you. Let that become your dream and passion. Work with God to achieve His plan in your life. The first step is to surrender yourselves, your will, heart, mind and body to Him, and allow Him to grow into your being. As St. Paul says, let Christ grow in you; let His mind be in you. That is only the beginning. Then you can easily fulfil the dream that God has for your life. It can be the most adventurous and satisfying life you can ever have. May God bless you to achieve that dream in the coming Year!
